They say that “they want to ‘help their players’ develpment’ both on and off the course.
Are you kidding me?
This is golf we’re talking about right?
LADIES golf to boot! Remember what Golf stands for?: Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden.
Boy this post-9/11 nationalism is running its course into all levels of frivility. I can imagine all of the blond hair and blue eyes at the LPGA offices at their little meeting:
“Hey, we should have everyone speak American, since we ARE in America”
“You know what, I think that’s a great idea; it’ll be good for the troops watching in Iraq!”
Give me a break. Do you agree with their new decision?
Any player uttering any other words in any other language will be suspended for 2 years.
This rule is unfair and the LPGA is going to lose in court on this one. Since when has golf been about speaking english. Players should be judged on their play only. No other sport has an English speaking rule, these players are not applying for a passport or citizenship they are just playing golf.

It’s just ladies golf instead of mens golf . Golf has the same rules for men and women just like basketball has the same rules for men and women nothing to worry about now.

In the modern age of equality, shouldn’t we all from the same tee block? After all, handicap brings equity and also, having two tees slows down a mixed foursome game dramatically.
Men and Woman (as well as young men and senior men) are not equal in strengh. To make the game enjoyable for everyone, there are different tee stations. My kids also hit from the forward tees as they are youngsters and cannot hit the ball nearly as far as a grown man.
Yes it is fair to have ladies tees. If not, we can’t have that rule about hittling your second shot with your pants down if you don’t hit the first one past the ladies tees

Men and Ladies tournaments both play 18 holes over 4 rounds for a total of 72 holes. The main difference is that the courses during ladies tournaments tend to be shorter, and in some instances the ladies use different tee positions from the men which are nearer to the hole.
